Why are my startup programs continue to disappear?

My program outputs are disappearing. Programs like Google Talk, Skype, etc go add and continue to disappear from the list. Programs such as Skype, Google Talk, firewall, touchpad driver, Daemon Tools, etc. add them again and restart my computer, and startup programs, but disappear the list again. What can be causing this? I scanned my computer with Spyware Doctor and Kaspersky Antivirus, but found nothing. (No that's not Windows Vista. That is only one issue.

I had a similar problem once. Search avupdate.exe file called. Browse> Home. If you find a file, delete it. Then add startup programs in Windows again. This should solve the problem.
